While my husband tends to move down a web page by moving his cursor to the right and engaging the side scroll bar with the mouse, I don't. Instead, I prefer to roll the middle scroll wheel on the mouse itself. If you CLICK the mouse's scroll wheel, the auto-move arrow appears; it's not a feature I often need nor particularly want. This area of sensitivity on this particular mouse is the worst I've seen due to hypersensitivity of the auto-arrow click. It engages ALL THE TIME with any inadvertent touch, but especially when you're using the rolling scroll to quickly move up or down a page. Once it is inadvertently engaged as you were manually scolling, you now have to FIND the auto-arrow on your page amidst graphics, then go click on it to turn it off (else you may find you've inadvertently clicked on and redirected your page to a sponsor ad, etc.- even MORE annoying!), and try again to move down the page. INCREDIBLY ANNOYING, if, for example, you've selected text/graphics to copy and you have to un-select, FIND the arrow, turn the blasted auto-arrow OFF, then have to relocate the material you've selected/highlighted, etc. After having this particular mouse about a month now, I'm STILL wanting to rip it out and set it afire. Other than this make/break faulty sensitivity, it's like any other mouse.

Great mouse. Use it with XP and Linux fine, though in USB mode it may not be recognized on install in all linux distributions... or windows for that matter.

I like that the click buttons are separate from the body shell, which seems to be the trend with mice now. That design makes it too easy to inadvertently click the buttons, especially if you have bigger hands, like most adults.

This older, less sleek design is much more functional.

Although it works on any surface, I have found that this mouse is not as efficient on multi colored mouse pads. The bright red tail light is not necessary and annoying. It could be dimmed or eliminated.
