This mouse works great. Just plug it in and go--I shared it with my daugher (I have a Compaq and she has an Apple) and she loves it too! There were no problems or set up for either computer. We purchased two of these items and I first noticed that it caused the screensaver not to work on our Vista Home Prem. Laptop. We later found that the screensaver on my wife's XP desktop was not operating either. Resulting in our not being able to use either mouse.

The installation was incredibly easy. But to turn off the mouse you have to remove the USB port connector, which I decided was a nuisance so the mouse always stays on. Still it has been a delight as I'm not cleaning cat hair off the roller ball every 5 minutes, although it attracts cat hair to the exterior. Also you can have the mouse nearly anywhere, nearly any position, lack of cord is absolutely wonderful.

Normal mouses have a long trail of cord to make it work. It gets tangled and pinched and breaks. With this mouse, there is none of that. Plugs into your keyboard port and allows you the ability to take care of your business without having to straighten or jiggle the cord.
