I replaced a CRT monitor. Excellent video quality and overall value but poor sound quality. I retained my previous JBL speakers and that solved the problem. I am pleased with the V7 LCD monitor, but be prepared to accept poor sound or find a way around it.

I bought this item as I needed a bigger screen.
Once I mastered the unusual controls on the back and ajusted everything it was wonderful.Bright screen with great color.
For the price you will not get better than this.

There was no digital cord shipped with the product, only the VGA connector although the screen has an input for digital.

I didn't realize the widescreen would be such an improvement over a standard monitor. Color definition is very good and also produces deep blacks.

I am not a computer expert but I did like this monitor,the picture is sharp and the color good. The best feature about this V7 monitor was the price and the three year warranty. Best warranty offer that I've seen. I do think it's a good buy and would recommend it to others inspite of the fact that I did not like the sound quality of the integrated speakers. It could have been the fact that only one speaker was used and not the two that I'm use to.
My main issue with the monitor was the adjustment tab in the rear of the monitor. Initially I thought it was broken because I could not make the adjustments and had trouble turing the monitor off. In my haste I returned the monitor to Staples becaue I did not think it was working properly. In retrospect I am quite sure that I could have gotten use to it, but I opted instead to get a monitor with the controls in the front, easier for me to use.

Pro: This monitor gives great visual performance at a reasonable price. Con: I wanted the integral speakers to free up desk space, but the sound they give is poor - I can't make them loud enough. The control buttons are in an odd place on the side of the screen, and adjustments are difficult to make. Like most LCD's, attaching the computer cable is a real pain - can't they make those knobs a bit longer and fatter? Nevertheless, I love this monitor.

I have a major problem with the built-in speaker system. Either I am not doing something right or I don't how to adjust the speaker system. The speakers are very tinning and really sound awful. Had I heard them ahead of time, I would not have bought this unit

I'd recommend still using your own speakers. The built in speakers sound like the music/words are projected through a tin can. Other than that, a great value on a great product.

I use my v7 monitor at home almost 16 hours a day. I think it is about two months now, no problem at all. The color is nice. It is wide enough for any normal function.

There was a scratch on the screen!
It's not a high end monitor, but I expected better quality. Only one dead pixel, down near bottom of screen, but why should there be any dead pixels. Manuals (book/disk) are minimalistic, and of limited help to the non-techie. Had to figure out all the settings through trial and error and extensive web research. Important - if you're switching from a CRT, you'll need to change your resolution (display settings in control panel) to "around" 1440 x 900. Also, the text is likely to be blurry to start --[@]has a really helpful thread in their monitor section that explains how to change to cleartext (in display, appearance tab).Still fooling around with this trying to get a satisfying image.Also, tech support is an e-mail address, no phone number readily available.Pretty disappointed with my new monitor, to say the least. It's not smoking or catching on fire, but I expected more from a "quality" organization.

I use this Monitor every day at work. Have had it about a month and have no problems with it. I have nothing bad to say about it. I got it when it was on sale and saved a bundle and took a risk on a non name brand monitor i have never heard of before. But the juice was worth the squeeze!! I have had other monitors before including Dell and other name brand products. But the V7 is the best one I have had for the $$ I spent. I use this for data entry 9 hours a day, and then the one at my house for Gaming and my wifes home Business. Thats right i bought a second one because the first was so good. I read all the reviews before i bought it. I read one that said something about the colors are jacked because he cant see the green line in the program he was running on it. Well if he new anything about setting monitor resolutions and contrast of colors on the monitor then he would have known that right out of the box NO monitor is set to do what you want it to do. Simply adjust the colors a bit and then the contrast and you have it. You can even add more green to the contrast if you want to make it really stand out. Also if your looking for an easy to use monitor, seriously this monitor is very simple. Three buttons guide you through the menu to do all that i was just talking about above. The person below who wrote it was to hard, come on graduate from preschool already would ya. And to close. This Monitor being a wide screen really helps me lay out my data screens easier. I work with the gold mine program (kind of old i know but its the bosses favorite way to do business)any way it uses four separate screens at once sometimes and with it being so wide i can lay them out nicely. Long horizontal lines of color don't always meet. They sometimes bend apart leaving a thin white line. There are fine lines with a pure white screen. Color is not affected.

This monitor replaced a CRT monitor on an early XP-vintage Dell desktop. While the colors seem a little off (the blue is more royal blue than it should be), the monitor's overall look makes the computer a pleasure to use again.

space saving, it is sooo much smaller and light wieght than the old dinosaur i had. the kids and I love it and are able to do homework/research faster and easier with more space to put books, papers etc. sometimes my older screensavers dont fit, but it is capable of changing from widescreen to regular if you want to.

Great product with a 3 year warranty. Had to turn the brightness down out of the box(was at max) I am buying a second one. No height adjustment but that is normal in that price range.

HOme use. Instructions for hookup were poor. It was good thing I knew what to do. Adjustments instructions were even worse and I still don't have the screen setting the way I really want them.

I use the monitor for my security camera system. It works ok for that, but it's a little hard to adjust it with the controls because they are behind the screen and the buttons are a little awkward. Other than that I'm happy with it so far.
