Use it for both personal and small home business. At first I wasn't installing it correctly. Called tech support but didn't seem to get through to them my problem. Spoke to Staples sales person who was well informed on item. By following her instructions and advice I was then able to install it myself.

Bought this Linksys Router WRT54GS and it was easy to hookup and to install software. Then i ran into a snag contacted tech support thru email and they were great help been working ever since. Thnx to STAPLES and i got it for like [$] cant beat that, it works great on my laptop and my next investment is going to be a wireless printer to add to this wireless router.

This is the second Linksys wireless-G router that I've purchased and both have performed flawlessly. The first one is several years old and still meets all my needs. This was bought as a backup for my current WRT54G Linksys router that's 4 years old, still working too. I bought the WRT54GS model for 3 reasons: 1) name brand, very reliable, 2) Ease of use and setup, 3) Price, got it for [$]. It stacks well with my Linksys RT31P2 VoIP and Linksys BEFCMU10 v2 cable modem. Overall, I'm happy with it. I can even change out the current firmware for Tomato or DD-WRT where you can edit the wireless strength, change the VoIP priority settings and many more options. I recommend this router. In order to benefit from the SpeedBooster feature though, you either need a new SpeedBooster USB/PCI adapter or your laptop has to have specific support for it. Otherwise, regular wireless G speeds are good (for me). And the SpeedBoost is only within your own network. It will not make your web surfing faster.

Pretty good since your internet connection never exceed 54Mb anyway. You should use the wire network to backup or copy large files in your local network.

Set-up wasn't bad. I chose to use the Easy Link advisor and although the set-up was slow it is awesome to be able to see the other users attached to the network. This is highly helpful as this router is being used in a rather large apartment complex. However, the program is a pain if you know how to manually counfigure your settings. If you change anything yourself, like the network password or some of the other settings, easy advisor gets rather confused and you have to let the program know that you changed settings.

It worked great for about 3 days and then suddenly my internet quit working. When I bypassed the router it worked great. I got on the support site (and found out that a lot of people have the same issue) to find out what to do but all of the fixes required the router to be hooked up AND online and I couldn't do that so I gave up and returned it.

Very easy to set up. The step-by-step instructions include diagrams to assist with connecting product. Setting up a home network was quick and easy. Customizable security settings. Extremely fast internet connection. The range on this router is excellent. I have a large three story house and I can go anywhere and get at least 4 out of 5 bars of reception.
