I was provided a system with a CD with Norton Antivirus which interrupted my windows XP starting up and since I had a virus program it was nearly impossible to get rid of the semi installed Norton, after numerous calls, Lynksys did more damage by trying to help set up and uninstall Norton and in the process advised me to return it as they no longer sold the product with a start up CD which forces you to open up the Norton Antivirus and it only load partially onto system [...]and have had nothing good to say about this product and the technicians who did not help me out but made the system worse when they told me to remove my firewall to assist me and instead i ended up with many viruses and my computer nearly to a halt, after 5 years no problem I had a bad experience with lynksysc mangiola

Once set up, this router has performed flawlessly for me. In fact, the signals are significantly stronger than the Linksys 802.11b router that I replaced with it. The installation software leaves much to be desired though. I've installed two of these routers so far. Once the initial set up of the router is complete, the software tends to hang. Once you confirm that your router is working, you're better off uninstalling the Linksys software and connecting directly to the router through a browser for any future configuration changes. All-in-all, I am very pleased with this router.

I kept losing my connection with Netgear and always had to call tech support to relink the router with my desk and laptops. Very frustrating.
I love this router - but you cant get through to tech support on the phone - only via the computer. They were very helpful and patient.
