Prior to the Belkin Wifi Router, I had a Linksys. The network connections were never reliable and the signal strength always seemed low. After setting up the Belkin, I find the Network Connection very reliable and much faster. I have a mixed network utilizing "g" and "n" adapters. Both work well with this router. The lights on the front help in isolating any problems that may arise. Overall, I would recommend this product.

There was some guessing over the security setup, but with some software installation experience it's not too much of a problem. Signal is strong throughout a 2-story house. Belkin customer service was very polite and helpful.Setup including crawling around under the desk to find room to plug in the cables: less than 15 minutes. We were using 1 desktop computer and 2 wireless laptops and the systems did not lose any speed. No problems occured by using different operating systems on different computers (XP and Vista).

It was really easy to setup on my home office network. It was easy to set up on my new laptop but the XP desktop did take a little longer. We use the router with our personal computer and found that we kept losing our Internet service. After calling Charter & it not being their problem we hooked our Linksy's back up and the problem went away. We tried the Belkin once again and once it was plugged into the Ethernet port our Internet quit. Put the Linsky's back on it and once again all was fine. Port blew out a month after purchasing it. Had a problem trying to return it!

I was initially impressed with the speed of this router and how small it is. I use a mac computer and found out (after many hours on help boards trying to find a fix) that it cannot handle streaming media well and ESPECIALLY not the iChat client. I returned it and purchased an Airport Extreme from Apple.

If you're not concerned about iChat or the streaming video stuff, it's actually a really nice router for the price. It was about half the price of the Linksys router and VERY fast.

I was able to set this up within 10 minutes. This router works great wired but I could not get it to hold a wireless connection with my laptop wireless G card. I think I rebooted the router and reconfigured my wireless card about 25 times to try and correct the problem but it was no use. I even tried to get a old Belkin USB adapter (802.11b) to recognize the router but this would not work either. I will be returning this for a Linksys model. Beware.

This is utter junk. It was quite easy to set up. However, it continued networking for perhaps 2-3 hours, before requiring a full reset. And that was the first time. Then, I had to do the same thing again.

I wanted to like this device. Belkin makes nice little USB devices and iPod cables, but perhaps routers are out of their league. I hope that the Linksys works better.

The instructions on the quick setup sheet were easy to follow and I had no problems with the installation. One trick is that it doesn't give you the option to enable the security on the router via the setup wizard, and I had to go to the manual to figure out how to do that. It took me a few extra minutes, but I was able to configure the security with little difficulty.

I purchased a Belkin N1 Router some months ago and installed it successfully. After a few months I began having problems which were resolved ultimately by discussions with technical support people who barely spoke English. My modem works fine but when I hook it up to the router I have problems with the internet connection. I returned the one I purchased and was sent a replacement but I continue to have the same problem and am not able to use this router. I do not recommend purchase of this product.
