Power cord is only on the left side and the cord is not long enough for laptops that have USB only only on the right side. As a work around, user would have to turn the device around the the exhaust is pointing towards the user.
Life expectancy - after 3 months of use, you would hear a loud noise (metal hitting another metal).
I actually bought one today. The aluminum plate pulls heat from the bottom of the laptop and the battery (which will have a shorter operational life with excessive heat buildup). The dual fans pull the hot air down, out and away from the laptop. It's the only model that has a pass-thru USB connector so you don't lose a port on your laptop while using it. The fans aren't noisy at all and the blue LED indicators are a nice touch. Just right for the HP laptop I have since they do get rather hot. This is the second one I've bought to replace the first that was in the bag along with the HP laptop I had that was stolen from my residence last year.
I use this product when I am using my labtop more often when I am charging it.
This thing realy dose the trick for cooling down my labtop. I use to be afraid to leave my labtop on due to over heating over night or when i went to work. But this thing is great, Cools it down nicely, kinda a bit loud, like a computer dose when the fans are runing, but its not super loud at all. I would defently reckamend it to a friend!!
Keeps pc cool
This device works beautifully to keep my laptop cool. On the low setting, it is quiet enough that I don't notice it. It stops when the computer is turned off, hibernates, or otherwise goes into low power mode.
Very quite. Works great. Before use, when docked, the top of my notebook would be hot to the touch. Nice and cool now. I'd buy another one if I had a second notebook.
You don't realize how hot a laptop can get, but with the Notebook Cooler, I'm able to keep space between my laptop and the surface, as well as my lap, and don't need to worry about it overheating!
noticed an immediate difference in laptop temperature
My laptop is normally on 24/7 and it was getting so hot to the point where it was shutting down. This fan is Working really well, it has keep the laptop considerably cooler but not 100% cool.
The fan does make some noise, buts its just a humming sound and after a while you barely notice it.
It works!
Blue light emits from this notebook cooler like a pimped up car. Looks great with my Dell XPS 1710.
Overall very satisfied with the product and the value for price. Very easy to use, just plug and play.
This does keep my laptop cool. It's not comfortable on my lap because of it's rigidity. It drains the computer battery quickly depending on it to run the fans to cool. It also has an obnoxious blue light on the side that annoys other people in the room.
I was really happy with the sale price given the quality of the product. It works greaton my 15.4 inch Dell. It's quiet even on high and is small enough to fit in my laptop bag and doesn't add too much weight. It cools my computer as much as I expected. I haven't had it for long though.

It would have been nice to have a smaller version available for an 8 1/2 x 11" laptop.
It did the job we bought it for
Used for laptop that runs hot. This product helps with that problem. Price could be a little less, but the rebate did help.
I use this primarily for in bed browsing and previously the laptop would get VERY hot from sitting on the blanket - not any more! It seems like the cord storage compartment seems a bit flimsy - almost as if it could pop out at any time although it has not!
I use product when using laptop
The USB cord is short and doesn't maintain a good connection all the time. This leads to a faulty plug that Antec requires a bunch of hoops to jump through to get replaced.
This product is light weight, almost noiseless, doesn't block USB port, and keeps laptop cool even after hours of use.
Well-designed and thoughtfully engineered.
Nice, useful and lightweight!
I use it for every day use
it comes with 4 little rubber feet to keep your puter off of the surface.... not needed if your puter already has feet... like that you have two speeds so quieter setting avail.
For a small investment you are protecting your laptop, an expensive piece of equipment. My daughter's laptop overheated, so this was a must. Naturally when we bought our son a laptop, this was included in our shopping list.
This unit had a power supply plug that would not stay on. Could not get the fans to run
Really does keep my laptop much cooler whether sitting on my desk or on my lap.
works great really cools down laptop. but the trap door doesn't stay shut.
Very easy to use and doesn't require additional power to run.
It works as a fan cooling my laptop. I keep it running all the time while my laptop is on. It does need to be separately unplugged as turning off the laptop doesn't turn it off. No problem...
There are four little rubber things that the laptop sits on, any you have to make sure you laptop is sitting perfectly on them or it will be unlevel.
Works great, looks great. Lightweight and I have had zero issues with it. I recommend - Buy.
This is the best Laptop Cooler on the market. This is the 3rd one I have owned. Durable and Dependable. It has hopefully extended the life of my Laptop without getting the battery or the internal fan replaced for at least a year or so

Works great. I keep it in my bag. Blue LED power indicator bright enough to blind small animals and children
The product is easy to use, so I connect it whenever I'll be working for more than a few minutes. It keeps me comfortable, and I suspect it protects the laptop.
Very easy to use, seems effective occassionally have to switch it to the high setting. Really an added bonus that it has the adapter so it doesn't take up one of your USB ports.
I bought this to replace another "cooler" used for my MacBook Pro. Whereas the other one could not even begin to reduce the heat of my computer, this one is excellent and fairly quiet as compared to the other.
this product is very easy to use and keeps the computer cool and is very quiet

I did not like this fan besides the mecanical smell it also was a little noisey
Use with laptop on desk, on bed, on lap - really solved the overheating problem I was having when gaming with my laptop:)
I have my laptop sitting on an antique oak table, and I was worried about the table getting too hot, this has solved the problem.
For use with my personal laptop. Black rubber nipples come out when you move laptop which caused me to lose them. Very upsetting. They seem to go it tight but don't stay. Wire compartment door on bottom opens easily and comes off since it's not attached. Almost lost it a couple of times. Seems to put off more heat than my previous one.
I really hate the bright blue light on the side when I leave my laptop on and it's giving me the stare down from the other side of the room.
I was about to throw out my old laptop that kept overheating. I had to send it off to the help desk for repair so much, I couldn't be productive. Clearly, they could not fix the problem. I bought this cooling pad as a last ditch effort and have not had an overheating problem since.
Used all day for my laptop at work. Very Quiet on low setting. Have it on low and it works well on my dell 700m. My laptop use to get so hot the USB ports and RGB port use to burn me, now all is good. High setting has a little more noise but nothing too noticeable. A lttle big for my 12" lappy but still works. Build quality is top notch and the aluminum does a great job transferring the heat. I like the vents on the back and side to expel the hot air. Just remember to not block the vents by putting it on soft surfaces like a bed. And for the annoying blue LED, i just taped it up with some electrical tape and problem solved. Good buy at [$]
best price,best value

The air flow was kind of poor. My laptop (ASUS M50Sa) doesnt have any usb ports on the left side so to use it I had to turn it around. this made it so that the exaust ports were blowing air at me. Furthermore, the rubber feet on the top of the cooler were right about in the same spots as the ones on the bottom of my laptop so it didnt sit right. Needless to say, I returned it.

Basically, this saved my laptop from probably dying on me as it used to continuously overheat. No overheating problems since the use of Antec's cooler. Fan is a little noisier than I would like but is very tolerable.
My power book stays cool no matter how long it is on. That is a good thing.
It's okay,but nothing special.

I have an Apple PowerBook. and an IBM ThinkPad. Both machines run hot. I purchased the Antec Notebook Cooler to help with the heat problem. The cooler is surprisingly quiet. there are 4 unexpected rubber bumpers to lift the laptop off of the unit to provide air flow underneath. This is okay but the rubber lifts don't stay in and I lost one. An extra would have been great, even if the cost was passed on the the customer it would increase the cost $0.10. The proper thing would be to have the rubbers stay in permanently.
That being said the extra air flow under the laptop reduces heat from hot to the touch to slightly warm to the touch on the powerbook and from Very warm to noticeable heat on the ThinkPad. I was Shocked as to how well it works. It is USB powered and there is an annoying blue LED that is quite annoying however you get use to it. It should have a switch to turn off the LED.
Bottom Line: It Work!!!
Makes a big difference when using laptop for long time, as heat destroys performance. Before I got this, the laptop overheated a couple times, and this works well.
It's ordinary

This laptop cooling pad is reasonably priced and provides some extra features increasing its value. The USB plug has a jack in it so that you do not lose the use of the laptop USB port. It is extremely quiet, has a large cooling surface and two speed options. The pads on the bottom keep it from slipping on the table surface. It would be nice if there were non-slip pads on the surface, as well, to prevent the laptop from slipping on the top, but the skid pads on the bottom of the laptop keep it from sliding around too much.

I've had it for almost two months, I keep it connected and turned on all the time. I've had no problems so far. It is not as cool as I expected though. It has two settings for the speed of the fans. I have not noticed any significant difference in the performance of my laptop. I mainly bought it cause I thought it couldn't hurt to keep it cool. Specially when I work on the computer for hours and work with multiple programs. It can get pretty hot. You plug it in through USB and it has a USB connection at the end of the plug. I guess the idea is not waste a port; I plugged my printer into it. However, the power cord sticks out of the left side of that plug and blocks the USB port next to it anyway! If I move it to that port, it blocks my ethernet port...Go figure.

Store manager recommended this one as very reliable. So far so good.
