This was my second Quicken purchase. I originally purchased Quicken years ago and was happy with the product so decided it was time for an upgrade. I bought the Deluxe version so that I could download my bank statements right into Quicken. NOT! My banking institution was not part of Quicken's list of banks so I couldn't use this feature and therefore had to do things manually. I think it was easier to manuever in the older version than the new. I liked the old version so much I was excited about purchasing the 'new and improved' Deluxe version. In my opinion, there isn't anything Deluxe about it. Now I wish I had tried some other brand that is out there on the market.

I have been using quicken for ages so when my bank stopped supporting 2005 it wasn't a question if I was going to buy the 2008 version. From the beginning and even still (I have had this product since the end of April) I find it much more difficult to use than the older version. They tried to make it flashier and have much more showing on the screen at a time but I mainly use it as a checkbook register and due to the new extras I can't see many lines at all. The F11 feature lets me see one more register line but I really miss 2005.
Another big disadvantage of this vs. 2005 is whatever line is highlighted also covers some of the line before or after. I find many times I have to click on either the top or bottom register line so that I can see everything.
If your choice is between Quicken and another product I would purchase this one hands down. But if you are a current Quicken user that really likes your older product you are in for an awakening!

This product is great to get into financial shape. I'm not computer program literate and I can utilize it's features fairly easily. The more detailed information, such as the tax feature from paychecks, etc., is a little harder to input. But I'm a novice at software usage.
