I have installed this product on 16 PC's. It does well without the nagging prompts that other products demand. The small advisory windows that popup in the lower right screen corner go away after about 15 seconds. It's almost a set it and forget it product. It works well with Webroot Spysweeper. I can check its reports once in a while if I choose and it just gives one icon in the systray. Green is good, yellow is a minor alert and red for serious alerts. Think about it; it's a product made by the OS manufacturer to help make their products remain safe. Besides who do you think gets the most complaints about reliability of their OS and vunerabilities. It's in their best interest to put out a decent product. I also run an additional scan on my system with a competing product every couple of months just to be sure that I haven't picked anything up. Remember antivirus is basically a reactive product that is generally updated after a virus is discovered by somebody. Some proactive elements may be incorporated into all virus products, but, there will always be someone up for a challange to bypass the features of your protection. Bottom Line: Daily updates and full system scans are always a best practice. This product does that with minimal effect on system performance and has done so for about 3 years on my systems. Oh Yeah, 3 system coverage for less than the cost of the major brands.

Works when it want to. A lot of error messages starts with 'an unknown error has occured, try again later". Tech support is a joke, not worth the amount of time it takes just for any answer. I test Anti-Virus software for my compnay, and by far this has been the worst product I have ever used.

Worked great on 3 systems that had been infected with trojans. The systems were either not running or running so slow with junk they were deemed useless. Used the program & were brought back to like new running condition. I could not believe how One Care fixed problems the other virus/cleaning/repairing programs did not.

It is an okay producr and easy to use, but I still have problems. There is one function that it is not performing for me, or I can't perform and that is baking up files that have been changed or removed and it happenend after the installation of the product.

I upgraded to v2 by buying a retail package from Staples at a discount. It was difficult to install the new version because I had to uninstall the old one and then install the new one. This was a minor inconvenience.
I got spyware that really hijacked my computer.Nothing I run helped. I Heard about Live OneCare and installed it. BAM!! Within 5 minutes I was up and running normally. Would highly recommend to everyone.

I use this to keep my computer free from viruses. I have had very little trouble, once in awhile it tells me that it isn't working right and my computer may be at risk.

I found that it is constantly asking me to update or check for updates and then at times freezes when updating. It was very easy to install and use but I sometimes wish it would just handle the updates on its own.

We have used both McAfee & Nortons, always ran into frustrations. This is our 2nd year using OneCare and it's AWESOME. Absolutely NO negative issues, works with all of our software & easy to install/use. BEST OF ALL- 1 package valid for up to three (3) different computers, no add'l charges!Highly recommend (no affiliation).

It has too many links bec it is asking me to clean up viruses and I dont know what to do with all those links. Difficult for people who are not that great with using softwares.

I love this product for all the things it does. The only drawback is that I have to go to their website and change the status from fair to good every day. I have not been able to get help for this yet... I'll keep trying!

I like this product, but for me it is much too difficult to install. I think it is fairly easy to navigate and pretty versatile. It does not work well with all other software in my opinion.

I was pleasantly surprised! I had heard nothing but bad things about this anti-virus, but after I had tried various anti-viruses to remove a trojan, I realized that I didn't have a choice. Not only was it so easy to install that a complete idiot could do it, but it also removed any software that would've conflicted with it. It was the only anti-virus that would remove the trojan... Now I highly recommend it. :-)

After buying this product, I eagerly installed it on all the PC's in my home. My first warning of trouble came during installation when we had to delete all other security programs. I did it, but I was uneasy.
I did enjoy being able to monitor the entire network from my laptop. I used OneCare for about 6 weeks before I began experiencing some problems. I now have one dead PC and I have removed OneCare from my laptop. OneCare is still installed on one PC in my house. We shall see ...

I use this product at home on a computer with a dial-up internet connection. I purchased the CD version of the software, and when I installed, I expected it to install from the CD. Instead, the CD launched an internet installation. I had to let the installation run ALL NIGHT. Day to day use of the product is uneventful, unless I haven't left my internet connecton up for a couple of hours every week or two. Then the software complains that it is out of date and I ususally need to leave the internet up for about three hours to complete updating of the software.

I am not a big volume computer user but it continues to frustrate me by turning off my firewall at least twice a week and it takes me forever to get it back on and now it has started turning off my antivirus and spyware protection. I never had this problem before with other software. My time is important to me. I have XP and it is supposed to be compatible with it. I think it is highly overrated.

This product did what it was recommended to do. It found and eliminated several virus's and has continually caught others that have tried to infest my computer. The other great feature is that is is allowed on more than one computer. Great JOB!!!

It forces you to install and update so many other programs you many not need, such as MSN, upgrading your current Internet explorer. My computer failed to install it due to unable to finish toolbar checking (??). I have been used many other antivirus softwares, such as CA, Norton, McFee, nothing happens like this.

I got this on a whim, being use to McAfee & Norton anti-viruses. Admittedly the MS rebate was initially what sold me on this product. After installing it I was happily surprised to see just how well it does. It actually stabalized my machine & the programs just run faster all around (How many MS programs can you say that about?). I even installed it on my moms laptop & it's even running cleaner & smoother & faster. This is the first MS product in a long time that I've actually been happy about.
Does it have a drawback? Yes, I like a more hands-on approach to my programs. I prefer setting my own schedules & so forth; Norton & McAfee beat this item in that department. But if you're not computer saavy or simply don't have the time to do much of the manual stuff then this anti-virus program is for you.

We purchased this product because it was a great deal that day, but would buy it again at regular price.
The virus checking and general care are seamless, almost invisible to the user, but when I want to know what it is doing, I can find out quite quickly.

This product is LOADED with bugs. The coding is outsourced to who knows where on the other side of the world while the "development teams" are in the U.S. Support is impossible to reach when needed because OneCare requires you go through the program's interface to do so and when the program malfunctions the interface does not work. The 2.0 version has been out for months and still has not been fixed. Sometimes it doesn't start at all when you turn on your computer and it gives no warning that your machine is not protected. Microsoft ignores its customers and does not even bother to address the issues at the online support forum for OneCare. If you take pleasure in constantly having to troubleshoot your virus protection, then this is the program for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and use something reliable. Even if it is working, OneCare has been shown to be below average when tested against the competition.

I use it on my Vista Home Premium and all it does is it disables the Windows Firewall and fails to start its own Firewall. I've contacted their Tech Support and they couldn't solve the issue. They've elevated it up to Research and they had a hard time with it. Instead of wasting time on it, I'd rather go with something Free that I've used before that are more powerful and reliable.
