Installed on Vista 64 Gateway notebook that had a trial Norton Internet Security program. I never had problems installing Norton AV becuase I fully remove any old virus programs then clean the registry first. Make sure you run live update at least a couple times after installation. Auto virus scan is "quick scan" works well and is fast.

This was for my daughters PC which was heavily infested with a Virus which prevented direct load from the CD. The remote scan feature was able to isolate and repair the Virus but required replying to an email to unlcok the infected PC. Not a very good scenario for homes with one PC as the infected PC was locked out till a url was clicked on an email from Symantec

I already have Norton AntiVirus installed in computer and for some reason removing the program to install the new version is not working. I have tried and my husband has tried to remove the program and it will not remove. I do not know how to remove this otherwise. Really frustrated!!!! It should be simple and it is proving not. Symantec wants you to buy over the internet to update and I prefer not to do so. I bought this in the store to update and this is giving me a another situation to deal with that shouldn't happen. Never had a problem before doing this since I have used Norton AntiVirus the last several years.
