Been using TurboTax (on a Mac) for the third year now and each year it's a little more easy to use. I like it updates automatically so I can get the most deductions possible. It takes you step-by-ugly-step through the entire tax form filling out process versus doing it all by hand. Errors are eradicated and you know exactly where you stand along the way. Plus there are great help files to sort out the mumbo jumbo terms the IRS uses.
And guess what? Next year I'll do TurboTax again.

Turbo Tax is the best software that I have used. I tried H&R Block's Tax Cut last year (a friend had an extra copy) and did not find it as accurate or reliable.
If you have used another program in the past, Turbo Tax will have the capabilities to pull the information from that file to compare the two years.

In the interview mode the questions are not clear and concise. It seems each year the product "improvements" serve to add confusion. The ability to add charitable contributions become more confusing each year.

I fing Turbo Tax an easy product to use while providing me with so much help and ease to file the dreaded taxes. I can actually look forward to filing the taxes with this program now. Worked well in 07, needed upgrade cd and had difficulty d/l software in 08, but once it was completed I love doing my taxes this way. However I was just told there is a free website the govt has that has a free setup to do the same thing for less money. Check it out

TurboTax is the leader for a reason, it is simple, easy to use and more intuitive than you would ever expect from tax software. As a first time homebuyer, I had alot of questions about filing this year, Turbotax had the answer to everything. The interface is easy for anyone to use, business or personal use. My only complaint is the e-filing fees and additional fees for each state. [$]Overall, it is an outstanding product and I would recommend it to anyone.

Good program, used it for years. Glitch this year is problem if you install it on an external hard drive, you cannot download necessary updates or state programs. They are blocked. After three hours on the phone they are sending me the updates and state programs on disk.

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years now. It's easy, although I will say that this year they "new and improved" the navigation, and I really like the old way better. Also, this year the price went up, although, "It's Deductable" was not included as it has been every other year. Even though with this software, you have to pay for the software, then pay to file and then pay more to direct deposit, it's still less than I was paying that other well known company. And I don't have to make an appointment, drive to an office, with gads of receipts in hand.

I've used Taxcut for years but decided to try Turbotax this year, I thought it was a bit harder to navigate through then Taxcut, but it seemed to do a better job of asking about deductable items and sources of income.
I didn't like that I had to go out for an upgrade to get some of the forms I needed, but once I had them I was able to print them off without having to pay a fee.

THE COST E-FILE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASE COST OF THE PROGRAM SO IT WOULD BE KNOWN.
I HAVE ALWAYS USED TURBOTAX, BUT WILL SWITCH TO OTHER TAX SOFTWARE BECAUSE OF IT'S BETTER VALUE
