I wish I had the receipt for these phones so I could take them back. My 2.4 GHZ panasonic had twice the range and clarity of this phone. A definate waste of money. I will never buy again. Sometimes a good deal isnt always a good deal. :(

Once we set up the phones, we would get static if we walked too far away from main base. And we didn't even go outside. It was no more than 40 feet, and there was so much static, we couldn't hear person on other line. We have returned them.

We've only had this phone system for about a month, but it seems to work pretty well. Range seems to be good, however I have not tried walking outside very far away to really test it. Phones are a convenient size and we like the overall sound quality and also the paging feature. This comes in handy for talking from upstairs to downstairs through the phone system. One possible nit-pick is with one of the 3 handsets, the sound seems to occasionally fade in and out, according to the person on the other end of the phone conversation.

I recently moved into an older home with only phone jacks located in one bedroom and in the kitchen, but have three bedrooms. This allowed me to connect one in the bedroom, living room, and another bedroom. The answering machine is also a very good quality, digital machine. The only nuisance is the beeping sound it makes repeatedly until you listen to the messages- but at least you know you have them.

Cons:
Auto answering needs code

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This product would be great if the telephone answering device would turn itself on automatically after 15 or more rings. This is really important if you forgot to turn the TAD on and a caller lets the unit ring 15 or more times and then gets a whistle. The TAD can be turned on from another phone but it requires a code to activate the TAD.

By Howie DuneVerified Purchaser from Northeastern PA on 8/13/2008

You might notice that I checked both Poor Sound Quality and Good Sound. That is because when reception is good, the sound can be crystal clear. However, it seems to be subject to a lot of static, even at relatively short ranges. Obviously, the static wrecks the sound quality. I bought it on sale, so I think I got my money's worth.

Needed a replacement for my GE 2.4 ghz phones, these were on sale, looked like a good value from a known manufacturer. Static in every location in the house. Moved the base to a different location like instructions say to do, same static.I should have returned them.
