I have been using one pen and one pen only for the past 13 years - Since 1999.
The uni-ball® Gel Impact RT Pen with no other pen used to write; daily, for business and personal.
I always have back-up uni-ball® Gel Impact RT Pens and re-fills on stand-by at both home and work.
There have been times when I have a customer use my pen to sign, or jot down notes (I'm in sales) and many times a customer will say... "boy, that's a niccccce pen... so smooth" And depending on how they sound when they say it, I will give them my pen. When they say "no, come-onnn" I say 'no, go ahead it's yours... I have plenty of back-up. Then I'll tell them where to get re-fills and extras because... it's the last and only pen they will ever want to use ever again.

I bought the refill at Staples at a very reasonable price compared to online prices. The store where I originally bought the pen doesn't carry refills. Unfortunately, the refill doesn't work any better than the original. It skips constantly. I love the gel grip, though, so I put up with it. I certainly wouldn't use it anywhere I needed to take notes.

      This is the perfect refill for my pen. However, I didn't know this, it is a 1mm pen tip. I was hoping it was like the original pen cartridge at 0.7mm. Still works good though. Just keep the size in mind so it doesn't surprise you when you start writing.

          i love this pen. It's the only pen I will use and I recommend this pen to everyone I know. I love the ease and boldness of the ink and I am so used to this pen that I am not comfortable using any other pen. I've even tried much more expensive pens, but I always come back to the uniball gel impact RT. It's the best pen on the market today and I have used this pen for as long as I can remember. I just wish they were easier to find in retail stores. I have only been able to buy them in Staples. I live in Framingham, Massachusetts.
