The ink does not always flow evenly. When it do's, I use it as an author to sign my books. However, if the pen sits for a period of time the flow is no longer smooth and I have to throw them away with ink still in the refill.

love this pen -dont use anything else but 3 problems 1-smears easy before it has a chance to dry 2-a bit pricey 5.00 to buy and [$] each individual refill and 3- everyone wants to steal it so its hard to hold on to i'm always taking it back from someone.

The original ink cartridges sold in new pens are great, but the refills suck. Half used and they stop working. I have six half full refills on my desk at work and four more on my desk at home. Stores will not take them back as defective so they are really expensive. Only recently did I actually use two refills till they were empty. Maybe they have two different levels of quality cartridges. One for the new pens and one for the refills. The only reason I buy them now is the design of the case reduces pain to my thumbs when writing like no only pen on the market.
