I use this pen to write in a lab notebook. We usually write so much that our hands hurt by the end of our day. This pen eases the amount of friction on the paper therefore glides across the paper better relieving the amount of pressure on ones hand. However, because we must write small sometimes, the ultra fine or extra fine are preferable to the fine.

I use this pen daily, but am very careful about how much pressure I place on the roller-ball. The roller-ball is easily damaged, thereby causing the pen to skip, if used to draw a line with a ruler.

Have used these pens for years & will never be able to write w/a ballpoint again! I like the way real ink looks & this pen has a comfortable grip. Plus the price for a dozen seems reasonable to me. My only complaint is that Staples no longer carries the fine point in their stores so they have to be ordered online.

My one problem is that I've experienced ink becoming narrower and, while not running out, is not desirable. This may be related to having the pens for a year before using the box. The pens start out fine, but soon the written area is thinner and harder to write. This has happened within the last year; and I've been using these pens for over four years and enjoy them.

I love these pens, I've used them for years, I buy them by the box and have one in pretty much every room of my house & in my purse & checkbook. It's a very smooth bright ink which I like, I hate ballpoint pens that skip and smear
