Dual Heat Settings The Weller tin-plated copper-tip soldering gun features dual heat settings, which makes it suitable for soldering a wide variety of materials. The lower heat setting solders at 900 degrees Fahrenheit, which is an ideal temperature for most general soldering jobs. Use the higher heat setting of 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit to solder heavy metals, such as copper, brass, and iron. High Power Output The Weller tin-plated copper-tip soldering gun has a voltage of 120, which is enough power to deliver heat quickly. It produces 260 watts of power at the high heat setting and 200 watts of power on the lower setting. The gun heats up within 6 seconds of you turning it on, allowing you to start working fast. Thermoplastic Cover This soldering gun has thermoplastic housing to keep it from overheating during use. Whether you use it for a few minutes or a couple of hours, it will not burn your hands or fingers.
