For many of us, returning to work after working from home is exciting. We can’t wait to meet in person and feel connected, but we also want to stay safe. While open office plans can promote collaboration and teamwork, they also present special challenges.
Consider these simple updates to help your team feel safe and comfortable.

Keep workstations at least 6 feet apart. Rearrange desks or remove chairs if you need to. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at each workstation make good habits easy! Use storage carts and lockers to organize personal items & PPE. Phone booth options can offer private space and help manage traffic.

For communal spaces, use the 6-foot rule too. If you can’t maintain 6 feet, protective barriers can help. Signage and floor decals can help reinforce best practices. Make sure they’re in ALL the languages your team speaks. Where you can, replace fabrics with materials that are easy to wipe clean. Touch-free soap dispensers and faucets, hand sanitizers and trashcans keep touchpoints to a minimum.
