  • Eco-certified:Products meet one or more third-party environmental standards or certifications.
  • Eco-conscious:Products that meet or exceed Staples® criteria for environmental responsibility, including one or more of the following:
    • Contain 30% or more post-consumer recycled content or remanufactured
    • Meet certain certifications, including Forest Stewardship Council™, Green Seal™, EPA Safer Choice, ENERGY STAR®, EPEAT, level®, USDA Organic, Fair Trade™, or Cradle to Cradle™
    • Made with 30% or more agricultural residues, rapidly renewable materials or bio-based alternatives
  • Other eco-features:Products with features such as solar powering, PVC free, rechargeable, refillable, or made with rapidly renewable materials.

  • AP-certified nontoxic

    Scientifically certified as safe for humans by ACMI.

  • Recycled

    Recycled content is defined as material that has been diverted and recovered from the waste stream. Post-consumer is the portion coming from end consumers. Recycled content does not include manufacturing scraps typically reused in a production process.
