We believe that differences in age, race, gender, gender identity, nationality, sexual orientation, physical ability, background and thinking style allow us to be more innovative as a company. We’re committed to growing and maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture.
A few examples of our commitment include the fact that Staples is a signatory to the equal pay pledge and CEO action for diversity and inclusion and the fact that we’ve achieved a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign for eight years in a row.
Associate Resource Groups
The mission of the Associate Resource Groups is to help drive company growth by increasing engagement, developing talent, creating a culture of diversity competence and promoting an inclusive and supportive community for all associates. Staples recognizes and supports 10 Associate Resource Groups (ARGs), organizations of Staples’ associates who have committed themselves to supporting and furthering our diversity strategy, associate engagement, and business goals. These groups are a tremendous resource for associates seeking to network, hone professional skills, and advance a diverse and inclusive culture. Groups represent diverse interests including the interests of black, Asian, and Latino associates, LBGT associates, women, parents, veterans, young professionals, and a group focusing on community spirit.
