To add a stock image in the Staples Print Builder, start by selecting the product you want to customize on the Staples Print & Marketing Services site and open the design tool. Choose a template or a blank layout, then click the Stock Images option, which gives you access to Shutterstock’s library. Use the search bar to find an image that fits your design, select it and drag it into the image placeholder on your template. Finally, adjust the size and position using the editing tools, review your design, and proceed to checkout. Watermarks shown in design tool and preview will be removed for the final print file.
$1.99 USD per image for a single project use.
No, you do not own the image. When you add a Shutterstock image to your print project, you’re purchasing a license to use it for that specific design. The image remains the property of Shutterstock and its contributors.
This means you can use the image in your printed materials, but you can’t resell, redistribute or claim ownership of the image itself. If you want to use the same image in another project, you’ll need to add it again through the Staples Print Builder.When reordering the project, you will be charged for the stock image(s) again.
