When should you deliver someone's print job to them?

Q: We have 10 people that share a printer in our office. Some people think it's proper etiquette to take each person's print job to them when you get your own. What's your opinion on this?

A: Simply put, it's the responsibility of everyone to pick up their own paperwork. It should only be out of courtesy — not an expectation or requirement — that anyone would carry a print job to another co–worker. If it's on your way, why not? If it's out of the way, maybe. And maybe they'll return the favor night time.

Bottom–line: If we all take responsibility for our own work, we will co–exist in the workplace much better. And when the random acts of kindness happen — like delivering someone's print job to them — it will strengthen teamwork and friendships around the office.
