Staples has joined with Save the Children to help provide lifesaving humanitarian aid in this time of desperate need for the victims of the Nepal earthquake through the Staples Education Emergency Relief Fund.

The Staples Emergency Education Fund
The Staples Emergency Education Fund was established to help communities affected by disaster, with a primary focus on the areas where Staples has operations as well as large-scale international disasters. Save the Children is a leader in international disaster relief focused on supporting children in times of need, and through our partnership we're able to focus our giving on the education and job skills mission of our Foundation. Specific to Nepal, they have been working there since 1976 and have programs reaching across the country. They are distributing urgently needed relief and are gearing up for a massive response. We will work with them to determine the appropriate way to use funding from Staples in order to support our mission. For example, you may recall Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in 2013, where our funds were used to help establish temporary learning spaces and provide school supplies to children in affected areas.
