Great Camera
Only had it a few days and haven't taken many photos but already know its going to be a great one. I have two R5s which are incredible cameras with fantastic autofocus. I traded a Sony a6000 in for the R7. Got lucky, store had a waiting list for body only but had a couple of Rs w 18-150 lens in stock so I got it! WOW such a nice and compact package but powerful. Focus Issues, Will Not Turn On
This camera worked great for wildlife at first, then I started experiencing focus issues (nothing would be in focus in the whole picture). Then it shut off and would not turn on again. I've tried two separate fully charged OEM batteries, but it will not turn on. I've only had this camera a matter of months. It is currently with Canon for repair (at my shipping expense).

Canon EOS 80D to Canon EOS R7 a worthwhile upgrade
I moved from an EOS 80D to the EOS R7. At first it was a bit difficult because of the difference in the control layout. As time goes on I have become more accustomed to the new layout and becoming more proficient in obtaining the outcomes I am seeking. Save for the control orientation, the camera performs beyond my expectations. Quick focus, even with the adapter and m...

Super Great Wildlife camera and easy to use.
I got this 13 months ago and have taken over 100,000 shots with the RF 100-500 And a Few 1,000 more with the RF 800 f11. Best Camera I have had for All Wildlife. I have had Canon 10D, 20D, 40D, 70D and 90D. They were all good but R7 is easier to use, Light weight and easy to hand hold. The fast focusing in all modes it super for birds inflight.

Fabulous purchase - so happy I didn't go overboard on the upgrade
I am a realtor and shoot my own listings, and can do so fairly well, but don't need anything more from my device that this.. My 5 year old EOS M50 shutter started going bad and I was unsure what to do.. spend the 4-6k on the fancy models or just go up a step or so. I got this just last night and shot some low light stills of my house and let me say, I am SO happy I jus...

Great APS-C Camera
I bought this lens as a direct upgrade for my aging 80D. I wanted to make the change to mirrorless and 4K in one go as my video recording needs kept requiring more. I was used to APS-C sensors and wanted a similar camera focus on video with 2 SD slots. That's why I purchased my R7 and I've been happy with my decision for the past 6 months. It has gotten me back into tak...

Great Camera - love it!
I've had this camera a couple of months now, and I love it! I upgraded from a DSLR 80D to the R7, and I use the Control Ring Mount Adapter for my EF70-300mm lens. The feature to track and lock on the eyes of birds is really amazing, and was the main reason I purchased the camera. I'm more of a hobbyis and I'm very happy with this camera. There's still a lot for me to le...

Nice camera, still has issues
Camera arrived in great condition, but appears to still have issues with autofocus. Even with EF L lenses. Will probably send the camera back for servicing.

R7 Camera - Great camera at a great price!
Have moved up through the years with Canon APC cameras from the Rebel to now, my first mirrorless camera. I use this camera for macrophotography with my go-to Canon 100mm L. Excellent features of the R7 with focus bracketing and stacking. Dual SD cards are a great feature. The only down side would be not being able to use flash with focus bracketing and the hand grip i...

Excellent camera for price
I am really loving this camera! Autofocus advancements are amazing compared to my EOS 6D. Controls are more intuitive than the EOS R5 (to me). I use this for a personal camera and video is very important to me. I prefer Canon color science over Sony and Black Magic and that was the deciding factor for me. Plus, I get to continue using my LP-E6 batteries!

Many great features but the AF can make you crazy
I've had this camera with the RF 100-400 f/5.6-8 IS lens for about five months. I've made some wonderful images. The combination is lightweight, the image quality is superb, and I love all the pixels. My problem is with the AF. Sometimes it's superb but other times it focuses where it wants to, not where I want it to. And it has great trouble acquiring focus on small ob...

Great camera, light weight, fast!
I was looking for another camera body to supplement my R5. The R7 fit the bill. I shoot a lot of airshows and I like the extra reach the crop gives me. With the testing I've done so far, the sensor appears to be extremely good. I looked at the R8 as a second body, but I didn't want to add a different set of batteries to my kit. A minor annoyance, I realize, but the ...

Birding / Wildlife Wonder Tool
My birding partner loves to shoot captivating images without the technical complexity. The R7 allows that. I configured it to behave as a "point and shoot" (with a 600mm).

Superb camera for birds at a fair price
My new R7 is paired with a RF 100-500mm lens. I have had much improved sucess with the R7 coming from an EOS R6 and 6D Mark II. Focusing difficulties have gradually begun dissapearing for me, given I am a rank beginner and totally an amateur. I configured back button focus and animal eye focus to improve my chances with birds in flight. Unless you don’t mind the price ...

My go to bird & wildlife body
High resolution aps-c sensor gives me extra reach for distant birds & critters. RF 100-500 & RF 800 focus fast & fairly reliably, with the right settings & practice. I use an EOS R5 for portraits & landscape outings.
