The fragrance modification was made after receiving positive feedback from extensive consumer testing, marking the first scent update for Dawn Original in over a decade. We wouldn't expect the scent of Dawn to last on dishes; however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. To remove the scent, we recommend soaking the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it.  In the meantime, we want to share that we offer many other scents, including an unscented version called Dawn Free & Clear.
