I purchased this a little over a year ago, and recently it just plain stopped working. It indicates it needs batteries, even though I just replaced them. Now the motor just sounds like it is trying to print, but nothing happens. I liked it when it worked, but I am hesitant to buy this again if it will not last past the warranty period.

I use the label maker all the time. I put a label on my phone and it stayed there for almost a year before it was worn enough to warrant reprinting it (didn't peel or anything which is amazing for as much wear as that phone gets). The refills are kind of expensive but they do last a long time. It's really easy to use and refill - too bad [...]doesn't carry refills!

Easy and simple to use for letters and numbers. To get to other characters and change font sizes, you'll have to play with it and discover them yourself 'cause it comes with no instructions (unless they were missing from my unit). Other than that it's great! Ribbon is easy to load and comes in different colors. Battery power last a long time and shuts off automatically.

Bottom Line:

I use this primarily for printing file folder labels. It prints slower than similar label machines, but since I don't print that many the price makes up for it. It's a solid, quality product, just not the fastest one out there. I also like the QWERTY keyboard layout. Doesn't come with split-back labels (for easy peeling), but they are available.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I had been eying some of the labelers for a while, and they were all priced rather high. I happened to see this one for about $25.00, and decided to give it a shot. It is GREAT!! It works wonderfully, has different fonts, styles, and will even print vertically (handy for the binders). It can add borders, and adjust the length, width, and font size. It is much faster and easier than the printer, and will print to fit file tabs, dividers, and a few other items.

It also has several different colors of tapes available which is nice to label items other than black on white. The cartridges are not terribly expensive, which is another great selling point for me.
Not only would I recommend this in a heartbeat, I already have recommended it to several people.
