Durability is the Key

I am using these as permanent records for my Grandchildren. I add to them constantly and they need to last/hold up for approximately 18 years. I looked for a binder that wasn't going to fall apart with constant use, and that could handle being removed from a shelf without the edges showing wear, thus making the presentation appear unkept and cared for. I wanted rings that wouldn't crimp the pages, or let them sneak out of the openings and get all bent up. The color selection leaves a lot to be desired.

I AM A POET WHO WRITES LETTERS AND POEMS, AS I AM OUT IN THE WORLD. I STORE THE RESULTS IN THE NOTEBOOK, AND CARRY IT IN MY SOFT BRIEFCASE. THIS BINDER IS TOO LARGE, THOUGH IT CARRIES ALMOST THE SAME AMOUNT OF PLASTIC COVERED LITERATURE AS A STANDARD BINDER SAME SIZE - D-RING.
I COULD RIP THE ZIPPER trying to close up the brief case. I will have to look for another type of white D ring 1 1/2 binder. One that will fit nicely inside the briefcase, zipped.

I like the binder, but thought the price was too high for my purposes. However, I had a coupon to buy it half price, so it came into my price range. I was disappointed that less expensive (and lower quality) binders were not available in the store for comparison.

After shopping around at other stores in the San Diego area I found this particular binder at Staples. It had nicer color choices and seemed to be sturdier and looked more expensive than the other binders I looked at. I use these binders to give to my clients for them to put their special documents in. They look much nicer than the cheaper ones I was looking at, that seemed to "wrinkle" on the outside which made them look cheap. I would definitely recommend these binders to anyone for special documents they would want to keep or also any school children who would want to keep their papers in for school in a more durable binder. I hope they continue producing these binders in the future.

These notebooks are very useful for many things --- I use them for storage of many important paper items and documents. The clear plastic cover and spine space make it easy to adapt the notebook for many uses in presentation. I do wish the clear plastic on the front was stronger at the corners --- the corners come loose sometimes and have to be secured with tape.

  I have bought at least a half a dozen of these binders. They do not have a pocket for a back cover. However, they do have extra pockets inside the binder on both sides. The bonus is that they are high quality, durable and come in a great selection of colors.
