Q: Does this magnifier lay directly on the book you are reading or do you have to hold it while you are reading. Even though I have bifocals, I need just a little help. However, do to fibromyalgia, I can not hold something over a book while I am reading. I do well to figure out a way to hold the book without pain. I am needing a magnifier that will lay directly on the reading material. thank you for looking into my situation. Asked on 2/5/2010 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: You can lay this page on your book- it is full size sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" and lays flat on your pages. Hope this helps. Thanks Answered on 2/21/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: You have to hold the magnifier approximately 5" from the reading surface to work well; as per Bausch & Lomb Magna-Page instructions. I purchased this product because I thought you could lay the magnifier directly on the page you are reading. Answered on 3/25/2010 by Loose from Wytheville, VA A: NO, it does NOT magnify when placed directly on the material! You have to hold it above the material (the recommended distance on the package is 5 inches). Answered on 4/22/2010 by Miss Nance from Cerritos, CA
