Canon Glossy paper with a Canon printer makes for great printed photographs. Canon matt finish paper disappointed me in that it seemed just like the white card stock I already had on hand. Maybe there is a secret coating that I don't know about. For posters, or everyday printing It was OK.
For Photos that you want to frame and keep go Canon Glossy II.

    This is my go-to paper for reproducing hand-inked and computer-generated art. It produces sharp colors and clean lines and is sturdy but easy to crease and tear (I mean, on purpose.) It would probably not be my first choice for photos, although it is more than adequate. Be sure to get the correct side up, though; because it's not glossy it's harder to tell which side is which, but if you look at it in good light you will see the right side is whiter than the wrong side.

        This is the best paper I have ever used for photos. The colors come out so much clearer. I'd use Matte Paper now anytime over semi-gloss paper.Canon is the best. you can also get creativewith [@]

                This paper was inexpensive, and now I see why. The paper finish is NOT appropriate for even everyday photos. About the only thing I think this is good for is kids' crafts, newsletters, simple brochures.
