good, safer laser pointer

By John

Comments about ACCO Class 2 Standard Laser Pointer:

This is a good, lower-powered laser pointer that we purchased to use as a toy for our cat. The lower power means there is less danger of eye damage if it accidentally shines into our cat's (or child's) eyes, though caution is still called for.

    • Q:

I desperately need a class 2 laser pointer with a constant-on (on-off) switch so it will display a red dot without my having to keep pressing a button all the time.
Does this pointer have an on-off feature? If not, do you have another laser pointer that is?

      Thank you.

This product does not have an on/off switch. A continuous beam does have the potential to start a fire. If you would like to place an order for this item, please contact us at 1-800-333-3330.

      • A:

Of course you will be taking the risk of starting a fire, but you can use a separate tool for keeping the button down, like a clothes pin, hose clamp, small vise grip, clamp, super glue, tape, etc. and turn it on and off by screwing the battery compartment closed or open.

    • Q:

Are you sure this takes a standard AAA battery? The battery seems slightly smaller when compared to a AAA battery. Please verify. Thanks
