  Once your paper has been bounded with the Fellowes Helios 60 Thermal Binding Machine, that paper will be stuck for good and you would be more likely to rip the paper itself before being able to actually unglued them.

  No, this machine is not recommended for thick or coated paper, such as photo paper. It is best for thin, uncoated paper.

We have front and back covers and wish to use a tape binding machine for the spine/ to hold the notebooks together, will this machine work for that use?
