I’ve had my Global Mesh chair for approximately 3 weeks. I wanted to adequately test out this chair before writing a review. In short, I cannot express how grateful I am to have discovered this back-saving chair! To give you an idea, I spend approximately 8 hours per day sitting down, doing data entry. I also have a mild form of scoliosis, which is a curvature of the spine. In the last two years, I have gone through 5 different chairs, all sorts of lumbar cushions, and could still not find something that would alleviate my back pain at the end of the day. The type of pain I was having was right behind my left should and up through my neck, with occasional lower back pain. I had enough of the chairs provided by my employer and finally decided to take a chance and purchase my own chair to bring to work. About a month ago, I went to Staples and sat in every display chair in the entire store. This chair, by far, was the most supportive and comfortable, even compared to the more expensive executive leather chairs. I decided to go online and purchase the chair; [...]My experience with this chair has been absolutely wonderful. Since using the chair, I have not had any more back pain and I can go home at the end of the day without any soreness in my shoulders. The first few days, I thought that it was maybe wishful thinking and the back pain had gone away because I wanted it to so desperately. But after sitting in this chair for almost a month and not having a single day of back pain, I am convinced that this chair is a miracle. I will disclose that I prefer to sit upright, rather than having a chair with a flexible back that can rock back and forth. If you are a person that prefers to lean back deeply, this chair is probably not for you. I’ve had those kind of chairs before and when it comes to sitting down and getting to work in front of a computer for hours at a time, I need something supportive that will keep me upright. The Global Mesh chair does that superbly. But it is definitely not the type of chair that will allow you to rock back and forth. The other thing that I love about this chair is the placement of the armrests. In the past, I’ve had chairs where the armrests sit too far out and will get scuffed by constantly pulling myself up to the edge of the desk. The armrests on this chair sit further back, so there is no chance of damage or scuffing. The seat cushion is also marvelous; it is firm, yet plush and provides just the right amount of support for my buttocks and lower back. The back itself comes up to just below my shoulders (I’m 5'7'’ 140 lbs woman). I thought this might be a problem since most of my pain was from my shoulders and the back rest stopped just below the shoulders. However, I believe that the inward curve of the back rest provides so much support, that it doesn’t need anything above the shoulders. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this chair, but the best research you can do is to test it out for yourself. If you don’t have that opportunity and are looking for a chair with the above description, this is probably the best one you can purchase without sitting in it first. Like I said, I sat in every demo chair in the store, some more than several times, and I kept coming back to this chair. I love the chair so much that I would not hesitate to spend three times the purchase price. I also love that this chair is manufactured in Canada, which shows in the workmanship and quality of the materials. The only small problem I had with the chair was that the assembly instructions were not as clear as they could be. But I was surprised to learn that assembly did not require any tools and the arm rests were already mounted to the seat of the chair, which saved time in itself. I’m considering purchasing another two of these chairs, one to have at home and another to have as a backup. Thank you Staples and Global for providing one of the best chairs on the market for those with back pain! It has truly been a blessing to finally go home from work every night without any pain. Please continue to manufacture this magnificent chair!!!!

GREAT little chair. I started a trend in the workplace with this chair, as several other co-workers immediately requested them. It is rather comfortable, well padded and adjusts well.Easily the best feature is the mesh back. I am 6', 245 and don't fit well into the average office chair. My body also resides "a bit on the sweaty side", so I wanted something that could keep me cool. This chair succeeds in both areas of comfort and temperature.The arms adjust easily, allowing me to slide right under my workstation. The tilt and swivel work really well also. It has the handling and feel of a much more expensive chair.I have a special situation which is a complaint, yet turned into a high point. After 7 months of everyday use, the mesh began ripping away from the leather back. Within two days the rip was 11" long. This doesn't actually change the chair's performance much, as the back layer of mesh is still securely fashioned. [...] After calling Global, I gave the chair's model and color and they shipped another back immediately with no questions asked and no serial numbers. This completely took me by surprise, as very few manufacturers have such a quick response time and this made for a completely pleasing customer service experience.I would highly recommend this chair to anyone needing to perform daily desk duties. To the other persons complaining of the ripped back, did you even contact customer support regarding the warranty? Global is very easy to deal with and I will buy this brand again.

I have owned this chair since 2003 and use 8-10 hours a day, every day. It has held up very well. I'm about 200 lbs. and have gone through several chairs over the years. This is by far the best chair I've ever had. I plan on buying a couple more next month, one for my home office and one as a back-up to replace my main office chair if it ever does wear out. I paid more the double what it is currently selling for and feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth out of it.... and it has plenty of life left in it.

This is a very good chair. Highly adjustable and comfortable. For the first 2 years I loved it. It worked for over 3 different types of computer desk, which is hard to find in a chair. Unfortunately, it is starting to fall apart. There are small screws that have began to show through the cusion and the arm rest have started to rip off. In addition to comfortableness and style, my next purchase will have conisderation for longevity and sturdyness of the chair too.

A thick foam cushion for bottoms that get sore, sitting from lenghts of time . Slightly wider seat width 21 " good for plus size women with shorter legs . there is a seat depth adj. also. I have tried several chairs that did'nt fit me . This is a easy rolling chair to .Reasonable price and lifetime warrenty from trusted Globel .

I use this in my home office. I am in it for anywhere's from 5 to 12 hours a day and it is the most comfortable chair I have ever had. I read these reviews in order to make a decision but I never write one. Well, this is the first. You won't be sorry.
