It's great that it is only 1 cartridge but it doesn't last long. The colors are dull. Very expense and you can only buy 1 at a time. In the past you had 2 cartridge pack that reduced the price. But that seems to not be available. The black and white documents come out very good but colors are dull. It is very easy to change the cartridge. It seems that the price goes up everytime I buy a new cartridge. I am the editor of our community's newsletter and I have to print a copy of our submissions to the printer monthly for proof-reading and the 34 pages usually uses 75% of the cartridge. Also, Stables never has coupons for the ink.

Since all the ink is in one container, it tends to run out of black ink first, and I don't get much value from the ONE cartridge. By not being able to use all the rest of the ink in various colors, some of it gets wasted. I tend to print out some documents in red and/or blue ink, just to use up that ink before I have to change cartridge again. In the past, I tried to refill these with an ink kit; however, that did not work well. They leaked all over the place. I certainly do not recommend that to anyone. Thank goodness I can get credit for recycling them.

With my laser printer, I get many more pages but my Lexmark is small and really handy to take with me. So I'm stuck with this ink cartridge. I've never had any trouble with the printer so I guess I'll keep buying cartridges. I've tried refills but they produce even a smaller amount of copies with unsatisfactory image quality.
