Got the printer/scanner free with a computer, so it works good enough in that regard. Cartridges are about the same price as HP's -- expensive for what you get. Have had trouble with those drying up from infrequent use; haven't had this one long enough to know if it has the same issue. Colors and print quality are good, though haven't tried pictures.

The packaging of the cartridges is very difficult to open. Just as much of a pain is that the cartridges are only available to purchase (in the store) in a package of 2, but 1 each of Black & Color. I would prefer the option of buying 2 of the same in 1 package.

Staples have gone up on the price of the double pack cartridge. They have stop selling the individual pack which will cut cost in half a allow printing of black and colored print jobs. The barrel with the black ink runs out before all the ink has been used casing print to look faded and obsolete.
I would not recommend do to the cost and use not being effective and draining to the wallet.
