I have had to return this to the retailer once, and just got off the phone after arguing with Plantronics about a free shipper to warranty it for a second return.

The unit will not hold a charge. The first one would only hold a charge for 3 hours and I refunded/repurchased in 2 weeks. The second one has done okay but within 3 months the same thing has happened, it will not hold a charge. They are using totally JUNK batteries in these units. Go and look at the other reviews all over online before buying this, then DON'T BUY IT. It is not worth 5 dollars.

The on-off button is just WEIRD, you have to hold it down for 2 SECONDS ONLY or it won't shut off/turn on. If you hold it longer, it starts flashing thinking you are trying to resync it to the receiver. The initial (new) charge takes about 20 hours, not 10, and after fully charging it regularly over a couple months (or less), forget it, it doesn't work for more than 2 hours.

I really wanted to go wireless in my office for my google voice VOIP. I also wanted full headphones to cancel out my family's noise from my work dAY AND SO i COULD PUT ON MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND. It took a little while for me to get the settings figured out, because yopu lose your external speakers when you connect the wireless receiver USB. Unless you figure out how to re-configure the settings, which I finally did. However, in the end, the fact that I cannot afford to lose the connection when I am on a call in my business, ultimately rendered the wireless headset useless for me.

Because I do not know how much battery life there is left on the headset until it is almost dead, I was interrupted on several calls early on in using it. After I got the battery charged up, I found out that I could not get enough range from my home office for me to go into the kitchen or outside where I would have hoped to have it working. Plus, it asks that you wait until the battery dies to charge it, but since there is no battery life indicator warning you of when that is, I ended up just leaving it on the charger and defaulted back to my wired headset.

Working radius is about 10 meters, otherwise it is nice headset.

Q:
Will this work with IP phones? I'm at a desk with a Nortel 1120E it has a USB slot but I don't know if it's for something like this.

  The UNISTIM 3.1 (0624C6J) firmware supports USB Audio Devices.
  http://www116.nortel.com/pub/repository/CLARIFY/DOCUMENT/2009/26/024447-02.pdf(Document states Support for USB Audio on the IP Phone 1120E, 1140E and 1150E)
  To set which headset to use, you need to go into the Configuration Menu, Preferences, Headsets and then you can choose between Wired, USB and Bluetooth.If you don't see that option, it could be that either you don't have the feature enabled (by going to the Configuration Menu, Network Configuration, Auto and un-checking "Headset Type"), or your phone's firmware is older than 0624C6J
