Bought for H.S. grad so they can keep important materials safe and organized. Pro and Con is it takes 2 hands to open because of a waterproof seal. One hand pushes down on lid and other quickly lifts to open. A friend stored her fire resistant file in basement and when it flooded contents were all wet. With this design contents should stay safe and dry.

I was attracted by the general form, function, design and low price of the safe, but the manufacturing quality of mine is very poor. It appears that the plastic walls of the safe were overfilled and over expanded by the fireproof filler so that the interior is not wide enough to accomodate a regular file folder. Check for this before you buy one.

      I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews. However this turned out better than I expected. Just the right size for what I needed and easy to operate. I have had no trouble with this item at all. The picture shows hanging folders, but those take up space so I used regular folders instead.

        I bought two of these safes. I gave one to my son. Only problem I had was nobody in the store knew how to open the safe, so I could look inside. Had no idea where the keys were - if any. They carried both safes out to my car for me.
