for the price this is a great solution for on a budget storage. i was concerned about the quality because of the whole snaps setup but it was VERY easy to put together and once it was i felt confident that it was sturdy. it's seen it's fair share of movement (although it's not too full so i can't judge that yet) but i have a feeling i will be buying more of these in the future.

Here's the deal. Love the look and a couple of these for storing your files would have a great look in your home office when a file cabinet won't work. I was dissappointed that the metal snaps did not line-up on one side. So I am returning it but will get another and see how it goes. I will give an update when I get it.

I purchase this item each year to organize our yearly paperwork. Manufacturer has changed lid dimensions. It does not fit securely over box. Lid is too big.

I got these boxes to organize my home office archives and have been quite pleased. They are not for heavy duty storage but perfect for storing photos, receipts, paperwork and files. They are attractive, easy to label and stack. I had been using cardboard boxes which looked awful, sagged when stacked and were difficult to lift when I wanted to get to one of the bottom boxes. These have handles and are lightweight. The main con is that the snaps don't always line up perfectly and take a bit of elbow grease to press into place. Also, just a reminder that they are not for storing heavy duty items. I am going to purchase some of the DVD storage boxes as well.

I was wondering if the number 696 next to "Strength of Box" meant that the box would hold 696 lbs of weight evenly distributed on top of it? Also, is the lining on the inside made with acid-free paper?
