Good item, but hard to keep in place. Picked this for the easy to read measurements, but it is hard for children to use without help and practice.

I am a teacher and was purchasing numerous
compasses for use in the classroom. I chose these because they were
economical and could be used with any writing utensil--they did not
require special lead. However, I was quickly reminded that you get
what you pay for. At first use they were flimsy, but could be
tightened with a screwdriver which temporarily held the compass in
place for use. However, after only a few more uses, they would need
to be tightened again, and again, and again, eventually stripping
the screw. Only about half of them still worked after three days of
use. Very disappointing!!

Blunt tip does not hold center well, cheap plastic hinge doesn't hold and allows compass to spread during use.

This broke immediately upon the first use...I should have known better as many of my students (I am a teacher) experienced the same results. I will explicitly have parents avoid this product when purchasing school supplies.
