Q: I need to place a chair mat on a Berber carpet. Which chair mat would work? I am afraid to use the one with cleats, as they could pull the fibers of the carpet and cause a "run" across the length of the berber. Would the smooth one be appropriate? Asked on 3/9/2011 by queee from cincinnati Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: Item 561162 is for use on a Berber carpet. It does have cleats on the bottom, but they should not cause damage to your carpet. If you are concerned about the cleats, we do offer a laminated wood chair mat that has rubberized pads on the bottom. It can be used with wood, tile, or hard floors, or any pile carpet- including berber. They come in walnut (item 639097), cherry (item 639091), or oak (item 639092). Answered on 3/21/2011 by Renee L from Staples A: You need those bubble cleats to hold mat in place. A smoothe surface the matwont stay in place on carpet. I used to sell carpet. Berbers are looped carpets and very durable. Get a 20 oz weight or better on berber she will hold up for ever. Answered on 5/3/2011 by Nyminute from Brooklyn, NY A: I have a mat on a Berber carpet but the one I bought is thin and the chair sink into the mat. Buy a heavey duty mat and it will work just fine. Asked on 5/7/2010 by Beth from Plant City, FL Know the answer? Answer this question 9 answers A: These ship flat. Answered on 5/18/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: It arrives rolled..not heavy easy to set down! Answered on 6/22/2010 by jenniferum from elk grove california A: It will be folded. Answered on 6/22/2010 by Danny from Chicago, IL A: It is delivered in a rather large box, (about 4'x2' and six inches thick), so the mat is folded to fit in the box. After unfolding it and putting it down on the carpet with a heavy book on one corner, it flattened out in about a day. Answered on 6/29/2010 by jabberwsr from Raleigh, NC A: It will not be folded. In fact it was just dropped on my porch with no packaging whatsoever. Very strange but explains the "FREE" shipping. Answered on 6/30/2010 by tk from Livermore, CA A: I believe they will roll or fold it in some way. I bought it in a roll in the store and put it in the back of my car this summer. When I got it out of the car, the roll had flattened within the paper band on it and I was shocked and worried but after applying it to the floor, the folds came out. Answered on 9/26/2010 by Caroline from North Carolina A: Hi Beth: It will be delivered flat. Answered on 10/27/2010 by arcade118 from McMinnville TN 37110 A: It will be delivered slightly rolled into a large box. Easily flattened for use and is ready to go. I am not sure how to order the rectangular one. The small part where your chair rolls under the desk measures 19 3/4(w) x 10(d). (ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE!) Hope that helps! Answered on 2/16/2010 by LKH from Maroa, IL
