I use these pens every day in class to take notes. I take about 30 - 50 pages of notes a day and these pens allow me to not wear out my hand by pressing too hard. They write really smoothly and once the ink is gone, its gone. It's easy to tell. Only bad thing is that I go through about 3 of these a week. I wish they lasted longer but they are so much cheaper than the pilot v-7s so I figure it's worth it.

I immediately liked the feel of this pen although it took a little bit to get past the "rubber feel" of the cylinder. The ballpoint refill in the one I found in our office supply cabinet was sluggish at best. Probably because it was old and nobody wanted it. I disassembled the pen and found that the refill was covered by a plastic sleeve, the same color as the ink. That sleeve "fattened the refill to the same size as the Uni-Ball Signo 207, except that the Signo refill was about 1/4 inch longer. I took the Uniball refill and trimmed 1/4 inch off the end, removed the sleeve from the Sonix and "Voilla!" I now have a great pen with a great refill. I never liked the chasis of the Uniball and combining these two made a great pen.
