I bought this product for organizing samll office supplies, such as stumps, pens, clips, small envelops etc. It works well for this purpose. In addition, staples supplied with five colors so...Read complete review

I bought this product for organizing samll office supplies, such as stumps, pens, clips, small envelops etc. It works well for this purpose. In addition, staples supplied with five colors so you are actually able to sort supplies by type, purpose or size wiht the color of boxes. Another pros is stable when you pile them up. I found similar products under other brand name but I did not buy them because they were not stuck each othre at all although the QC was slightly better with that brand than staples' pencil boxes.
One negative point was the quality of product was poorly controled. I often found products on the shelf in store were with nonfunctional hook which were either brocken or not trimed off fin.

    Flimsy construction and lid doesn't stay closed that well. If you use this item, make sure you have a rubberband around it or get used to picking up its contents frequently. It does hold more than pens but the construction could be better and should have a better latchin lid. It seems after a few years, the quality of the plastic got a lot thinner

    I put mine inside a ziploc bag instead so when it finally breaks (anticipating this sooner than later) I will have a more reliable storage solution for pens, etc and at a fraction of the price.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            These small, clear boxes can be used in a variety of ways. Not only do we store pencils, pens, and scissors in them, we also use them in classroom centers. One box containes magnetic letters for students to arrange in alphabetical order. Another box contains index cards and a pencil to write out spelling words. They can also be used to hold math manipulatives such as unifix cubes and objects for counting. They're great for storing craft supplies.
            We even made a mathematics game using ten of the boxes. There are so many ways you can use these boxes!
