I bought the 18-pack since I use glue stick daily. I still had half the sticks left when they were starting the get dried out: they would leave clumps of glue on the page, drag on the paper a lot more, and the glued pages would separate readily. They apparently have a shelf life of less than two years. Still cheap, but next time I'll buy a smaller pack or get a different brand.

Comments about Staples® Washable Glue Sticks, 18/Pack:

I am a kindergarten teacher and I bought the glue to use for arts and crafts and cut and paste activities. My students use the glue sticks a lot, and I found that these were terrible. The glue dried too fast and it did not adhere to anything. I found that the papers that were used with the glue didn't stick and the students products fell apart. Very frustrating, especially because I had to go back and repair 30 students' projects. I would not buy this product again.

I bought this for several reasons! However I had to go out & buy name brand product cause this cheap stuff did not stick. My sons work fell apart the next morning & we had to scurry around & fix it before school! If I had saved the box I would have returned it! But now I'm stuck but not like glue!
