We purchased the laser pointer for a PowerPoint presentation, for personal use, however I can see using it for business purposes as well. It is compact, lightweight, the toggle switches work well, as does the laser pointer. The USB storage inside of the unit is also a plus. The only thing that I feel that it is lacking is a timer. That would make this unit a 5-star, rather than a 4-star piece. A light to indicate that it is on, rather than just the "on & off" switch on the side might be a consideration so that the person using the unit is reminded to turn the unit "off" before storing it away.

I have used Targus Presenters with my laptop in the past, however they were not the same model as my recent purchase. Prior to this purchase I have had no problems with the presenter's receiver connectivity on any models that I have used. It is totally frustrating trying to get this receiver to connect. It is never just a plug in and go, but it involves moving the receiver in and out and from side to side until you hit that sweet spot that allows it to connect. I am happy with the presenter and it's operation once it connects. I have no problem connecting any other items to my USB ports.

      Used this with a laptop and a short throw projector to create background pictures for our church musical. The pictures were in a PowerPoint Presentation. It worked from 30+ feet through closed stage curtains, scenery, props and people!! Some slide changes had to occur with the curtains closed and it never failed. Some of the transitions required more than one click or fast slide changes and it was up to the task. It was totally reliable and money well spent. Perfect for what we needed it for!

            I can't close the cover/lid on the back, because the small plastic notch thing is broken. I have to open the cover every time I use it because USB is stored in it with a battery.

                  This particular product cannot be used with MAC. However, the company sells a Targus Bluetooth Presenter for Mac. According to the Targus website, the MAC compatible product comes with a laser pointer and cursor control.
