An inexpensive solution.

I maintain a large collection of historic images of our community and display several hundred large format prints and over 2,000 8x10 prints throughout the year. The 22x28 poster board is an effective and economical subsitute for large format photo paper. We print full sheet images with a 48" HP Color Plotter at 300 or 600 dpi on the smooth side and then spray on a coating of laquer sealant. It looks like a photo print and cost only about $3.00 per print as opposed to over $30.00. They are not permanent but will maintain a good appearance for several months if not exposed to direct sun light. I have been using Staples Poster Board for these prints for 5 years and have never had an issue with the product. I only wish it was available in a larger size!

I used the posterboard for a project for one of my own classes. I only needed 3 pieces but only had the option of buying a 10 pack. What happened to being able to buy individual pieces like when I was in high school? I'm sure it will be used eventually what with three of us in school but I would have liked to have just what I needed at the time.
