This is a reliable mechanical pencil. Fun design. Zebra also makes black and yellow mechanical pencils that mimic a conventional lead pencil that you would normally sharpen. I had purchased two smaller packages of Zebra black and yellow mechanical pencils #2/0.7 mm lead (similar to these, but without the fun designs a couple of months ago), but until my recent purchase of two packages containing 28 pencils per package, I was unaware that this is a refillable pencil. Surprise! The amount of lead in pencil is somewhat limited. However, I go through a lot of pencils and lead. So in a sense, this measurement is totally subjective. Overall, this is a very good product. I use mechanical pencils for both personal and business. Staples had this product on sale and it was a phenomenal deal. All in all, I am a satisfied customer when it comes to Zebra mechanical pencils. Good job Zebra! Staples... thank you for carrying this product.

Cadooozle Bamboozle

Plastic internal lead holder pokes through the eraser rendering the pencil unusable n the sense you cannot keep extra sticks of lead in it. The eraser is cheap too.

    I love these. I also love that Staples runs them on sale now and then. My first set of 28 quickly went out the door with grand children. I love the awesome erasers that do such a good job. Having been a first grade teacher for years, I use a lot of pencils. I had never been a fan of mechanical pencils until I used these.

          This is a wonderful pencils. I have been using them for years at the school I worked at and will share them with children for a reward. The kids loved the colorful cases and that they are refillable with lead. Eracers are also refillable I believe I never refill them. I buy them on sale all the time so I have extras. I hope your children will like them as much as mine. Even the staff like these because they write well also. The erasers work great also. Thank you you time and for making a wonderful mechanical pencils.
