Long lasting heavy duty bag

Great, but not for long!
I love this backpack--it's lightweight with pockets in all the right places so it's easy to organize my stuff. I use to use it daily, commuting to work. It's attractive and durable. BUT. the fabric on the back is textured and that rubs against clothing and causes pilling! It has ruined several shirts and jackets and this only after a short time.

Zipper disasters galore
Purchased for back to school from Staples. Zipper gets stuck constantly/way too expensive for this to be an ongoing issue. We're chucking it in the trash - very costly mistake.

Zipper issues
Backpack seemed great except for one major issue, the fabric covering the zipper for the main compartment constantly gets stuck in the zipper. It is a big design flaw that causes frustration.

Zipper issues
The fabric fold her easy caught in the zippers. We been able to fix with out damage but it’s very inconvenient.

Ordering #2 after 4 years
Ordered this for my daughter in 8th grade and it's lasted her until the start of her senior year in high school. Ordering a new one only bc the warranty doesn't cover the wear and tear that has ended the life of this backpack.

Falling Apart
I love the size and shape of this backpack. I bought it to replace my old work backpack for something roomier and with more pockets. However after less than 1 month of use it has torn. Poor quality. Very disappointed.

Might be OK, but not what I wanted
I love the Jansport has a lifetime warranty and wanted to repair a daypack that I had. This was their replacement and it isn't anything more than a book bag.

Spacious and the style is what I was looking for something sporty!

Replacement BackPack
I have used Jan sport products for over 20 years. I traded in my old one after they could not repair it.I find it the right size and easy to carry when commuting to and from work.

I would buy this product again.
I use this pack as my main carry-all for work. I have some problems with the sternum strap buckle breaking. It still holds on one side, but not the other. I love Jansport as a product because I feel that it is a backpack that can hold as much as I need. I would like to get the sternum strap buckle repaired or the entire pack replaced.

Inside fabric rips too easily. Low quality
My son used this backpack for only a few months and the inside linings ripped after normal use. Would not recommend this for a school backpack at all. The zippers are also difficult to manage.

NICE PACK BUT ZIPPER SNAGS
i love the amount of space in this backpack but the fact that the zipper snags every time i try to close it is a big probelm. another problem is the water bottle pockets, the net is ripping from the elastic and i'v had the backpack for only a year.

Jansport Fixed Zipper for Free
I used the lifetime warranty to repair the zipper on my 20 year old pack but because it was so old I was offered this pack as a replacement. Zipper Snags Easily
I used this pack for work and for hiking. The zipper started snagging on the upper pocket soon after I got it, but each time I was able to carefully pry the flap of fabric out of the zipper without damaging anything. Zipper broke immediately.
The zipper was jammed almost immediately. The zipper now will not zip after fixing the jam. This is one of the best designed backpacks I have ever seen, besides the fact that you cannot zip it. Each pocket has great design, but it does not matter when the main pocket does not close anymore.
