Extremely disappointed with this purchase. 10% of the rings were either too stiff to move correctly, too loose to stay clamped or just fell apart. Would not recommend this product.

won't close or won't open
With every box, there is a significant number that cannot be used, as they either won't stay closed or won't open at all.

My experience
I found that the clasp was not as tight as others had experienced. Which was the main reason I purchased them, I wanted them to be difficult to pull apart.

Very difficult to open
I use these rings every year for my students' sketchbooks. Last year, the batch that I got from Staples was so loose, they often came apart. This year, the students can't open them on their own, so I am having to do it.
