Nice Economical Monitor
I purchased this as a second monitor for my MacBook Pro 2015. It was easy to install, and box came with an HDMI cord. No additional cords needed! Thin profile and decent picture quality. Happy with the purchase.

Terrible sound
I bought a monitor with speakers because I'd been using a HP with speakers for years. The sound wasn't wonderful but it was perfectly adequate. The ViewSonic was NOT adequate. The sound was so tinny that it was hard to listen to and I returned it to the store. The resolution of the screen was pretty good but not so good that I'd ignore the horrible sound.

Built-in speaker not loud enough
Built-in speaker is 3 Watts. Not loud enough. For another $2 to $3 Viewsonic could have added a 5 watt speaker. Most customers would pay an extra $2 to $3 for the monitor if they know they're getting a 5 watt speaker.

Nice basic monitor
This monitor is just the right size for my desk. I use it for work, and can easily view documents side by side. The clarity is great. It is lightweight and easy to assemble out of the box. I did need to call Surface Pro support to learn how to enable multiple display settings.
