I enjoy using Moleskine cahiers for my Travel Notebook inserts. I normally get the plain ones, but the dot grid is practical. The dot grid will allow flexibility on designing calendars and charts I use. The paper is not thick enough for paint or certain pens such Tombow or fountains, but still nice paper. Mole skins journals
I did order on the phone w/ curbside pick up. I appreciated the customer support double checking what was in their store. Often online may not have up to date. I was in a hurry and needed the journals to match. The Staples manager knocked this out of the park - thank you!

Great quality notebook as always.

Notepad for Designers
As a senior undergrad studying Landscape Architecture, this notebook and its variations are great for daily use. I use them both for sketching and notes. I particularly enjoy the moleskin as it makes them easier to carry.

The one and only downside to these journals are that the pages are thin enough that the ink can be seen on the other side.

Love these notebooks. The pages are a little thin for the Staedtler pens I use, but it will do fine for pencil.

Fair quality notebook
These make fair travel notebooks. The dotting is very subtle and pleasing to look at. The paper is a little thin, so it might bleed if you use a strong marker. I use fineliners which work fine. The cover is made of flimsy stock.Rhodia is a good alternative if you want a high-quality notebook.
