Tru Red Pens
I am a long time fan of PaperMate pens, especially InkGel. An associate offered help as I was trying to decide which PaperMate I would purchase. He explained why the Tru Reds were developed, offered me a trial use and I was hooked. They are truly as good as a PaperMate and SOOO much cheaper! Terrible
Was excited to try this new line, they are sleek and colorful and quick dry. Except they are too dry. So dry that they do not write consistently, it is like they are running out of ink but they are brand new. Do not waste your money.

Retractable gel pens
I really like the retractable gel pens because they write very smoothly without smudging and the pricing is not bad, especially considering the number of pens that you get in the package.

Does not flow smoothly
I bought these pens because I was told gel pens are harder to “wash” and change to another recipient, but when writing checks I find the ink flows intermittently and what I write actually looks suspicious.

Dissapointed
The TRU-RED 0.7 black gel pens skipped and dragged when writing. Threw away about 3 of the pens. Conversely, the 1.0 pen wrote extremely well.

Tru Red Pens
I came upon a black STAPLES Sonix Gel pen.. don't know where.. but I LOVE IT!! Was wanting more. Went to the Staples store.. tried to find.. not. Was told these TRU RED pens are the same thing.. but new "logo". Very disappointed!! Not as smooth writing as the other... is ok.. but since I have the one that is a definite 5 star... the others just don't measure up. N...

Surprisingly great
I used one of these at a bank and loved it so much that I asked where they got them... Went to Staples right away and bought my own. I'm completely puzzled by the bad reviews I've seen here.
Even better -- they don't look fancy and they don't look cheap, either. Just plain and classic.
