Works perfectly for my NAS
I bought this to protect my Synology NAS, it connects to the power and also the USB so the NAS can monitor the UPS and automatically turn itself off if power is lost.

Great replacement for my aging APC Back-Ups
I've been using APC Back-Ups since 1995 since we had threats of brown outs..
My second unit was purchased in 2005 and replaced battery once. Rather than replacing battery for the second time I decided it was time to replace with this newer model.
I actually have a standby generator so I only lose power for 10 seconds but I don't want to lose power for even 1 second.

Easy setup, effective display
Ignore the reviews that stated battery connections are difficult, not true unless the user tries to remove the battery instead of properly sliding it out only a few inches. Obviously very heavy because it has a long lasting battery, just deal with it. Nice long heavy duty cord, secure and easily readable outlets when lit. Ok but not for large plugs
It is a bit stronger than my previous APC. The problem is that it cannot handle large plugs. I have to buy the little extension cords so I can plug in my speakers and my other transformers. But I expect the UPS to be well worth the money.

Not my first one

Hello,
While this model has slightly less capacity than the 9 year old unit that it replace, I highly recommend the APC brand because every UPS I have owned from that brand has worked for 9 to 14 years before needing replacement. The battery was replaced twice on the last unit and I expect the battery on this unit to last 4 to 5 years just like the previous models did...

Although APC makes reputable products,
Although APC makes reputable products, I found the packaging deceiving for the contents inside. The oversized box made iit look like the product was bigger.
